Hi All, I just made a Minstrel and I'll share my build with pros and cons.
Goal: To be as supportive as possible, not a damager. Skill delay is 10 seconds so you dont gain much shaving off 2-3 seconds. As long as you can play 2 songs every 30 seconds you are good to go. Low HP is favorable because songs take a % of your life and mini heal from a HW/Enchater is all you need. You can also use Aid skill to recover most of your HP in 1 go.
Stats:
VIT - 1 (Very important for this build)
INT - MAX (good MP pool)
AGI ~35 (To get max atkspd 343 with sword with passion song)
DEX - All the rest (for faster cast speed)
AGI - MAX after DEX (better dodge, surviability)
Equip:
Odium UP/Coregrum: -55% hate
Mage G or Tunic/ Aid: MP regen and ability to heal
Sunglasses / Coregrum: -45% hate
Dragonnewt Bangle/ Coregrum: More recovery and -15% Hate
Result: With -115% hate, you rarely get targeted even when buffing every 15 seconds. If you do die, 1 heal of any type will get you back to full health. After 9 songs you need to heal your HP, which you can do with Aid and hopefully your MP base and recovery are high enough to make that last a while.
So what about when you aren't in a party? You can make it so you aren't completely useless.
Sinbad or Sorcerie Bow or Dia Espada: Any magical sword or bow will work here sinbad is probably the cheapest and has evasion.
Iron UP/Aid: 1k HP and heal skill
Adel Mask (HP up by INT down by VIT)/ HP20%: Adel gives an easy 2.5k HP
Dragonnewt Bangle/ Coregrum: Unlikely to have 2 spec slot equip so just use this.
Result: With life song i imagine you can get 10k HP which will give you decent survivability. Maybe add a sonic boom to the setup to utilize the MATK or just another hp20% on the weapon.
